A friend had told me that the best way to go about getting a really pilot’s watch was to find a jeweller that specialised in selling Bremont watches and watches for sailors as well as pilots. The watches were a bit more expensive than I had thought but I wanted something that was right for the occasion and that would last him a lifetime. Apparently more people are now investing in men’s watches that are designed for a particular purpose and that will last for years. I knew that the Bremont pilot’s watches had been tested way beyond anything an ordinary watch could be expected to endure and were immensely tough and durable. The day after I had seen my friend I made an appointment to speak with a local jeweller who was kind enough to show me the different kinds of Bremont watches available.

It was three in the afternoon when I got to the jewellers, as they tend not to be so busy in the afternoons.  I looked at the various Bremont pilot’s watches available and eventually settled on a Bremont Martin Baker MB11. I couldn’t wait for Christmas Eve to come as my brother was only expecting the celebration dinner, not a new watch. He knew that something was afoot because of all the whispering that stopped when he came into the room. To get at the truth, he’ll have to wait till Christmas Eve.
